Silver doesn't get nearly as much attention as gold when it comes to prospecting. And probably for good reason. Extracting silver from ore is generally quite complex and beyond the capabilities of the average prospector.
However, native silver can be found on rare occasions where it is quite pure in its native form. Here is a bit of history about the Largest Silver Nugget ever found in the USA. It was recovered from the Smuggler Mine near Aspen, Colorado back in 1894.
