Bug out from fires and all other natural or manmade disasters

Syndicated Investigative reporter Michael Webster
The apocalyptic photos and news stories that have appeared on electronic print media including the internet show much of California practically in Paradise and Malibu they were in awash in deadly fire and billowing smoke as the California wildfires ripped through surrounding counties. With wind gusts as high as 60 miles per hour the fire was able to move at an astounding pace and brought communities to their knees.
The destruction was hard to believe when viewed in pictures. People, Homes and cars were simply melted and obliterated. The fire burned an estimated 211,000 acres killing at least 73 people with as many as 1200 missing. This from the Butte County sheriff’s office. There were other fires in the area as well but it all brought the same thing to light.
When its time to go, you better be ready to go. Living in a society that is so cushy, we tend to be late or to push the envelope on time. Its rare that we meet a force that demands timeliness in action. With the fire it was very simple. You either get your family out of the path quickly or die. For all the bad press that survivalist and preppers get, this is an example where the bugout bag/gear makes sense. Everyone affected by the fires either took advantage of their own bugout bags or left important life saving items behind.

The fires now near containment but what if they weren’t?  The day has come in California that the winds blow these fires all the way to the coast? In that moment you will be very glad you have that bag on your back and in your vehicle. You do not want to find yourself without shelter or the basic needs.
The earth has been very clear over the last 5 years. Mother nature is warning you that now is the time to take heed. Even if you don’t live in California, you are going to see a serious disaster and its going to affect your ability to get to safety.
Keep your family safe by building a full scale go bag and settling on a serious bugout plan.

Mission ready Bug out gear) are the most basic and best thing to start your emergency supply with for missions or bug out gear. It’s a basic item that’s a great starting point to prepare your family for any disaster that would cause you to evacuate your home. Everyone needs a 72-Hour Kit containing necessary supplies to immediately sustain oneself in the event of a natural or man made disaster for a minimum of 3 days.
It should be put together in a practical manner so that you can carry it with you on any USCDA mission Or if you ever have need to evacuate. It is also important to prepare one for each member of your family who is able to carry one. These kits can be purchased already assembled online at: www.thereadystore.com/?utm_medium=affiliate&utm_campaign=pap&am…
If you build one yourself it should be put together in a practical manner so that you can carry it with you if you ever have need to evacuate or run an emergency mission. If you purchase a pre-made kit, there is usually room enough in the bag for you to add more of your own personal items, or just add its contents in your mission ready back pack.
When preparing your 72-Hour Kit it’s important to make sure that everything is up to date at any given time. A great recommendation is to mark your calender about once every 6 months to check to see that everything is current and up-to-date. When checking your kit, make sure your water, food, and medications haven’t expired, your clothes still fit, batteries are charged, and all personal documents and credit cards have not expired.
