South Orange County Pair Charged in Armed Robbery and Shooting in Pasadena Arrested
By Michael Mick Webster
A man and woman from South Orange County have been arrested facing multiple felony charges after allegedly orchestrating a violent armed robbery that ended with a shooting in Pasadena, according to authorities.
The incident occurred on the night of April 25. Pasadena police officers responded at approximately 9:55 p.m. to reports of a shooting in the 100 block of East Holly Street. Upon arrival, officers located a male victim suffering from gunshot wounds and immediately rendered aid. The victim was transported to a nearby hospital where he underwent emergency surgery and is currently recovering.
According to a statement from the Pasadena Police Department, the investigation revealed that the victim had been lured to the location under false pretenses. Once there, he was confronted by two suspects at gunpoint and robbed of jewelry and other personal valuables.
The suspects then allegedly forced the victim into a vehicle and drove him to multiple ATM locations, where they compelled him—under threats of violence—to withdraw cash. When the victim attempted to escape by fleeing the vehicle, he was shot and seriously wounded.
Detectives have identified and arrested the two suspects, who now face several felony charges, including armed robbery, kidnapping, and attempted murder. The investigation remains ongoing.
