Two areas, Holcomb Valley and the Rattlesnake Creek drainage, have been classified MRZ-2b and MRZ-3a respectively, for hosting placer gold resources. Bottom and head water areas have recorded historic gold production; measured reserves at Holcomb Valley exist, although tonnage and grade of placer material is currently low.
